Big Sur Moon, Live Version

The are many versions of Buckethead's "Big Sur Moon" floating around on youtube, but, one of my favorites is a version he did live, I think it was in Japan? Many people are aware that Buckethead was taught by Paul Gilbert and some of Buckethead's techniques mirror Mr. Gilbert.

Big Sur Moon is a good example. Although they may sound similar, they are in fact, quite different. Big Sur Moon is played much faster and the Delay and reverb are also set differently. The CD version of Big Sur Moon is actually played on an acoustic guitar.

Intro to The Echo Song

I am sure everyone who is in the know in Guitar Perfection, knows about Mr. Paul Gilbert. This video is the intro to Paul Gilbert's "The Echo Song". I play the positioning different (because I do not have those Long, Beautiful fingers, with which, Mr. Gilbert was blessed).

Also, I do not hold my pick in the correct manner to obtain his rich tone... I am working on it though. Email me and I will share my delay settings and BPM of my right and left hand to obtain the dotted 8th notes...

The background track is from Garage Band.. It is just a repeating pad pattern in the Key of C, but, I just wanted to show how much fun you can have with a Whammy Pedal from Digitech.
